Wireless Mobile Email Solution

Mobilises your business information, email, calendar, contacts, tasks and shared files to almost any mobile device from anywhere in the world

Real Time wireless access to email calendar, contacts and local files

"OpenHand first to market with mobile shared calendars"

OpenHand deploys both push and pull technologies to enable real-time wireless access to email, calendar, contacts, tasks and local folders. OpenHand's combined advanced compression and latency reduction technology provides very fast download speeds and extremely low mobile data charges.

OpenHand wireless email is highly secure supporting SSL and applying the highest recognised level of encryption - Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) - to safeguard all data transferred. And because OpenHand connects live to your server, no information need be stored on the mobile device - so if the device is lost or stolen, your data isn't. It is compatible with most PDA's, laptops and smartphones (client software for Nokia 9300/9500 and MS Smartphone now available), so there is no need to purchase extra dedicated devices with limited functionality. And OpenHand mobile email supports the most widely available wireless network protocols everywhere- worldwide, including GSM, GPRS and even the Iridium satellite network. In fact any IP connection will do - it even works on dial-up.

The server software is simple and non-intrusive - no changes to the Microsoft Exchange or Lotus Notes/Domino mail server are required. The client software is also designed for ease of use with an interface that matches the device. OpenHand is highly cost effective. With just a one-off licence payment or on a monthly leasing model the costs of OpenHand wireless email are transparent

Version 4.0 is now available and offers the following new and improved functionality: Snapshop of emails, calendar and contact folders for offline working; support for secure authentication (including RSA Secure ID and SECCOS); file access to shared documents and MS Smartphone and Nokia Series 80 (9300/9500) added to suite of supported devices

OpenHand mobilises your business information, email, calendar, contacts, tasks and shared files to almost any mobile device from anywhere in the world.

Key commercial benefits to going the OpenHand route:

  • You are not limited to the memory of your handset or device. You have unlimited access to every one of your emails in your server's inbox, folders, public folders and sent items.
  • Attachments can be downloaded in their original format and edited. Your amended documents can then be easily sent using OpenHand
  • For extra security your emails are displayed live from your server meaning that they do not have to be synchronised or downloaded to your mobile device.
  • When you are out and about OpenHand's "server side" forwarding of attachments, documents and files allows you to immediately respond to your customer's requests for information, as well as minimising your data costs.
  • Most mobile phone and other smart device platforms are supported together with all major mobile networks, so there is no lock-in to proprietary devices and networks.
  • Worldwide connectivity, Beijing to Beirut, Cayman Islands to Capri - wherever you are - OpenHand is available
