Spitfire also offer a SIP solution - they have a dedicated Telephony ISP service and offer their SIP solution end-to-end, with lines/circuits, SIP trunks, number management and call billing, all using their own systems and managed internally i.e. not reselling someone else’s service and cobbling it together.
We recommend them because although getting SIP services can relatively easily achieved, managing the relationship between line and provider, particularly for support, is much more challenging if the supply of the components is fragmented – typical reservations with SIP reflect a lot of people’s experience of frustrations with fragmented support, and that is why we would only advocate using a single source for the whole lot - we believe that SIP can only grow from being conceptually a good idea into something commercially viable if it is managed this way.
